When did you first find your love of yoga?

I first found my love of yoga when I lived overseas about 25 years ago, I practiced a mixture of classes; kundalini, astanga and hatha yoga.  I loved them all but particularly Kundalini yoga.

Who do you admire in the wellness community?

I have always admired Deepak Chopra, I find his work very up-today and trustworthy. I would love to go to his centre in America and do some courses.

What’s the one thing you would tell your childhood self?

I would tell my childhood self to embrace who I truly am. Working as a counsellor, so much negativity and limited beliefs stem from our early childhood which can then impact our adult life. If we had the tools and skills to know how to value ourselves as a child, I believe the world would be a different place.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

I work with a lot of clients with terminal illnesses and the one thing I take away from them was how precious life is, so every morning I am so grateful to have another day; knowing that life is a gift. I always start my day with gratitude, then I look forward to practicing my yoga and meditation. This sets me up for the day.
